It was fascinating and authoritative impacted my wisdom. When I first saw the Statue, its was a thrilling feeling. A tall dark and hansom figure was touching the sky with a firm expression of an “Iron Man” India called him. The person who have made India united was standing tall with a firm gesture in the statue.
I took a taxi from Vadodara and took me no time, when I reached the place. Spellbound, speechless and I just wanted to absorb the energy it was having. The vibration on earth and mind blowing wind gave me a life time experience.
The Statue of Unity is a colossal statue of Indian statesman and independence activist Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel (1875–1950), who was the first Deputy Prime Minister and Home minister of independent India and the chief adherent of Mahatma Gandhi during the non-violent Indian Independence movement. Patel was highly respected for his leadership in uniting 562 princely states of India with a major part of the former British Raj to form the single Union of India. It is located in the state of Gujarat, India. It is the world’s tallest statue with a height of (597 ft) 182 metres. It is located facing the Sardar Sarovar Dam on the river Narmada in Kevadiya colony, 100 kilometres (62 mi) southeast of the city of Vadodara and 150 kilometres (93 mi) from Surat.
The river having little water at the time when In visited but the curves and vast expanse could give me the feeling of nature at its best. The dam is also must be on the wish list. One must book the tickets in advance because many schools and group booking advance there is a limit on visitors per day. So adhoc visit may disappoint you.
